Project Summary:

Menai Civil was engaged to deliver the remediation and civil construction works for a 70-lot residential subdivision on a former golf course. The project involved significant bulk earthworks, road and drainage infrastructure, utility installations and landscaping to transform the existing site into a fully serviced residential development.

A key component of the works was the delivery of extensive stormwater and water quality infrastructure, including gross pollutant traps, bio-retention basins and major culvert structures. The project also included the construction of a lead-in road affected by tidal conditions, sandstone log retaining walls and the undergrounding of existing overhead electrical infrastructure along Raleigh Road.

Scope of Works:

Site remediation, tree clearing and vegetation removal.
Excavation and cut-to-fill of approximately 60,000 m³ of onsite material.
Construction of approximately 20,600 m² of full-depth asphalt pavement.
Construction of a lead-in road within an area affected by tidal conditions.
Construction of multiple reinforced concrete box culvert configurations, including 12-cell, 6-cell and 4-cell structures.
Construction of approximately 2,200 m² of footpaths.
Installation of approximately 4,700 linear metres of kerb.
Installation of approximately 2,100 linear metres of stormwater drainage.
Installation of two gross pollutant traps and construction of two bio-retention basins.
Construction of approximately 750 m² of sandstone log retaining walls.
Installation of street lighting and a new electrical substation.
Undergrounding of existing overhead electrical infrastructure along Raleigh Road.
Installation of street trees and associated landscaping works.
