Our Code of Conduct reflects our commitment to respect, safety, integrity, and collaboration. It sets the standards we expect from everyone who works with us or visits our sites, ensuring that our workplaces remain professional, inclusive, and safe.

Maintain a positive, proactive attitude in the workplace.
Performance of Duties
Apply yourself diligently, impartially, and responsibly.
Treat others with courtesy and respect.
Comply with all legislative and administrative requirements.
Follow and improve systems and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.
Meet all workplace health and safety obligations and report hazards immediately.
Raise concerns about breaches of this Code without fear of reprisal.
Personal Behaviour
Comply with all applicable laws.
Attend work as rostered and be fit for duty.
Focus on your duties during working hours.
Conduct all dealings with honesty and fairness.
Personal Appearance and Protective Equipment
Clothing & PPE: Always wear appropriate PPE (long sleeve clothing, safety boots, helmets, gloves, eye/hearing/sun protection) as directed. Maintain PPE in good condition.
Footwear: Open-toe shoes, elastic-sided boots, thongs, or any footwear not meeting AS2210.3 are not permitted.
Headwear: Safety helmets must be worn in designated areas and always available onsite.
Hand Protection: Gloves must be used for handling rough, hot, or hazardous materials.
Personal Hygiene: Keep site amenities clean and hygienic. Maintain personal hygiene, particularly when using shared equipment or facilities.
Conflict of Interest
Avoid situations that may compromise Menai Civil’s interests (e.g., bribes, gifts, bonuses, or outside business dealings that conflict with your role).
Disclose any potential conflicts immediately to management.
Do not engage in employment or business that competes with Menai Civil.
Information Security
Protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of company and client information.
Access information only for legitimate business purposes.
Do not share passwords or use unauthorised applications or programs.
Undertake information security training when required.
Seek guidance if uncertain about responsibilities.
Confidentiality
Respect and protect client personal information in line with the Privacy Act. Use it only for its intended purpose, with consent, or as required by law.
Keep Menai Civil’s business information confidential, including trade secrets, financials, intellectual property, and business strategies.
Do not disclose confidential information inside or outside the company unless authorised.
Improper use or disclosure of confidential or client information may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
Use of Menai Civil’s intellectual property (logos, trademarks, materials) must be authorised in writing by management.
Breaches of Conduct
Failure to follow this Code may result in disciplinary action, removal from site, termination of engagement, or legal action, depending on the severity of the breach.
