Gregory Hills Industrial Estate

Project Summary:

Menai Civil was engaged by Stockland Corporation to deliver the civil works for the transformation of a 12-hectare rural site into a 38-lot industrial subdivision, with individual lots ranging from approximately 2,000 m² to 5,000 m².

In response to the client’s program requirements, Menai Civil accelerated delivery and completed the works four weeks ahead of schedule, despite above-average rainfall throughout construction. The project also incorporated a range of sustainability initiatives, including onsite material reuse and recycling, along with alternative pavement and retaining wall solutions designed to reduce environmental impact while supporting the long-term performance of the development.

Scope of Works:

Site clearing and preparation.
Approximately 100,000 m³ of bulk earthworks and rock excavation.
Remediation of asbestos-contaminated soils.
Construction of retaining walls using Keystone, concrete sleeper and MagnumStone systems.
Installation of approximately 600 m of sewer reticulation.
Installation of approximately 1,800 m of potable water reticulation.
Stormwater drainage works, including pits and approximately 1,750 m of pipework.
Construction of a 300 m sewer underbore connecting to an existing manhole.
Construction of approximately 4,600 m² of concrete pavement.
Installation of approximately 2,500 m of kerb.
Construction of approximately 16,600 m² of flexible pavement, including sub-base, basecourse, spray seal and asphalt.
